Graphic Design Intership (w/m/x):
As records label distributor, Astral Junction runs two fast-growing electronic music companies, not only in Europe, but around the world, having reached in several occasions, top-10 charts world-over.
As a record labels builder, we work together towards our goal of making the music experience more inspiring and personal for our followers.
In the meantime, we are in charge of planning events, forthcoming releases, radio-shows, interviews, cover designs and anything related to the labels including pressing & distribution.
A good eye for good design.
We, the Design Content Team, design and create the visual appearance of both labels in all media. As communication designers, we are in constant creative exchange with other teams o Performance Marketing - and implement concepts and ideas for brand communication.
As a Graphic Design student trainee (w/m/x) you will support the team in planning, creating and implementing all graphic material for our creative and cultural house, as well as for our music releases, events and social media channels.

1. How would you describe this internship experience to others:
I would describe this experience as a great knowledge about life, about the world of music, fashion, art...
It is very worth doing the Erasmus in Berlin, especially if your tastes are related to art in general.
2. Discuss the challenges of your internship experience and ways they may be improved:
My challenges have been facing problems with people and being able to solve them. Also deal with problems of everyday life.

I really liked being part of events related to music and art, in an alternative way, nothing commercial.
4. Looking back, what do you wish you would have known before starting this internship?
Nothing, I think it's better to come on an adventure and meet whatever it is.
5. How did you feel about your training and mentoring/supervision?
I didn't have too much supervision during the Erasmus. I appreciate it because they have left us the freedom to take care of ourselves without depending on anyone.
6. What is the greatest lesson you’ve learned this summer?
The biggest lesson I've learned has been dealing with different kinds of people and organizing my life independently.
7. What was the most rewarding thing about working at Astral Junction this summer?
The most gratifying thing about working at Astral Junction and with Guillermo has been receiving all the knowledge that he has given me.
8. What was the most challenging thing about working at Astral Junction?
It was working quite a long time some days.
9. Tell us about any new skills, techniques and knowledge you gained this summer:
I have learned to use Ableton, mix Techno, mix with vinyl, organize a store, serve customers...
10. If you could make a change to your internship experience, what would you change?
Make the most of my time walking around and meeting people in Berlin.

My next step is to finish the sound course (2 years) and in the meantime do work related to music and arts.

Absolutely yes, I believe that this experience can totally change your life, it can give you a broader vision of many aspects of life.

My internship experience was very varied, creative and I got a lot of insights into running a business.
2. Discuss the challenges of your internship experience and ways they may be improved:
I sometimes had a little trouble sewing because the sewing machine was very small. Buying a larger sewing machine would make this much easier, which has already been implemented.
3. Discuss the strong points of your internship experience:
I could learn a lot of new and interesting things and had a nice creative time with nice people.
4. Looking back, what do you wish you would have known before starting this internship?
I would not have liked to know anything before my internship that I didn't already know anyway.
5. How did you feel about your training and mentoring/supervision?
I had a very good time at Astral Junction. Guillermo looked after me very well and took good care of me.
6. What is the greatest lesson you’ve learned this fall/spring/summer?
I learned a lot of new important things, but above all, the most important thing I learned was the overall overview of how to run a business.
7. What was the most rewarding thing about working at Astral Junction this summer?
The friendly atmosphere and putting together our ideas while working.
8. What was the most challenging thing about working at Astral Junction?
The biggest challenge was working with only the tools and materials that were available. But that was also very good practice for life.

I learned screen printing at Astral Junction. I was also able to develop my skills in upcycling clothes a lot.

I would not like to change anything. I found everything as good as it was.

I don't have any definite plans for my life after I finish school but I would like to continue working in fashion and art.

it was very particular and useful for my life and for my future, because i did a lot of things that i've never done before.

everything was a challenge here, because i was aware that cleaning, cooking, dealing with unknown people, painting, printing graphics on clothes was something i've never did and something to learn about

a strong point was the collaboration with Guillermo in his album, a thing that made me realize that the fusion of rinascimental/classical music with ambient/techno it's okay and also interesting, because as a puritan, I would never have done such a thing. another one was the opportunity of study music at work and also discover others type of arts that weren't music

maybe the german language, but it's something for me, not indispensable for the internship

in this internship i earned a lot of knowledge about cooking and deal with problems; i also learned how to use Photoleap for edit photos and Ableton for record and edit music.

if i was able to change something that nobody can control, i would like to change the weather.
